All Seasons General Contracting and Billy’s Auto Repair Team up to Guarantee an Increased Sportsman Class Payout in 2024

Bunker Hill, IN (March 24, 2024) The All Seasons General Contracting Sportsman Class at Bunker Hill Dragstrip is an extremely diverse class. With an ET limit of 7.40 seconds in the eighth mile, the class which is limited to door cars that have to leave the line off their brake pedal, attracts everyone from the veteran racer who enters the class with a race car, to the novice, who enters and races their daily driver and every racer in between.

This season the sportsman class racers at Bunker Hill Dragstrip are in for a huge treat. Lucas Rhees, from All Seasons General Contracting and Billy and Melissa Burns from Billy’s auto repair are joining forces to turn the already guaranteed sportsman class purse into a guaranteed INCREASED purse at every Summit Super Series bracket race.

With no change to entry fees in 2024, sportsman class racers will still pay $35 for a tech card. The winner will go home with $500, a purse that sportsman racers don’t often have the opportunity to race for. The runner up will go home with $200, semi finalists will win $50 and quarter finalists will each get $25.

“If I was a racer in Top or Mod, I would unhook my truck and trailer and enter the sportsman class in my truck,” jokes track owner Terry McMillen. “ But in all seriousness, we are thankful to have All Seasons General Contracting and Billy’s Auto Repair join forces to reward the sportsman class racers with such a hefty purse. While the sportsman class has many long time racers, it is also perfect for the racer who is new to bracket racing. There is nothing I like more then to help grow this sport that I love so much, and I think the increased purse will definitely attract new racers not only to our track but also to the sport.”

The Summit Super Series at Bunker Hill Dragstrip will kick off the first weekend in May with a race both Saturday, May 4th and Sunday, May 5th. For the full schedule, visit www.bunkerhilldragstrip.com
