Dragway Winning Continues at US 13

Once again Mother Nature tried to interfere with our bracket weekend by causing the cancellation of the Friday night test and tune; however she didn’t stop us from completing 2 bracket races before the sun went down!

All classes received an open time run session from 10-12 and 2 qualifying runs on Saturday before heading into eliminations. Sunday, all classes received 1 time run before starting round 1 of eliminations.

Noland Services of Salisbury Top Eliminator competitor Darren Wroten of East New Market pulled off his first win of the season after Bill Groton Sr of Seaford, Delaware went -.014 red in the finals Saturday. On Sunday, Michael DiLorenzo of Magnolia, DE put down a perfect run with a 5.800 on a 5.80 dial and perfect .000 light over Kody Mariner to capture the win. DiLorenzo received a $250 Perfect Run bonus courtesy of the Mendenhall’s BNM Performance located in Parkesburg, PA.

Michael Jefferson of Salisbury ran 6.053 on 6.05 dial in to get the win over Buddy Layfield in Custom Beach Services Mod Eliminator on Saturday. Sunday, New Castle, DE’s Leanne Redrow took the win over Russ Archer of Preston, MD. Russ turned on the red light to give Redrow the win with a 6.129 on a 6.09 dial.

Outten Brothers Home Furnishings Pro Bike racer Jimmie Miller continued his winning ways with victories on Saturday and Sunday over Jeffrey Santin of Romanville, PA. Santin tried to solve bike issues all weekend but managed to pull off runner up wins both days.

Tire King Sportsman finals on Saturday had Donald Metz of Kenneth Square, PA back in the winners circle to take the victory over Stephan Fountain of Delmar, MD. Fountain had the advantage at the starting line with a .003 reaction time but ran under his dial to allow Metz to take the back to back Saturday wins. On Sunday, Urias Shockley continued his winning ways with another victory over Danny Parks of Greensboro, MD. Shockley ran a 13.711 on a 13.70 dial and .006 reaction time. Danny was hoping for a father son final but his son lost in the semis.

Carquest Hazzard Auto Parts Jr Dragster brought a familiar name to the winners circle with Cole Foskey taking the win Saturday over Hailey Truitt. Truitt’s early reaction -.002 gave Foskey the win. On Sunday, 2023 Track Champion, Andrew Shaeffer took the win over last week’s Saturday winner Braydon Hazzard. Shaeffer’s .017 reaction and 8.954 on 8.94 dial gave him the advantage over Hazzard’s 7.914 on 7.90 dial at the finish line.

Prestige Plumbing and HVAC Saturday finals placed Willards, MD’s Morgan Tull in the winners circle with her 9.133 on 9.13 dial over Savannah Baker of Salisbury. Baker’s 9.071 run on a 9.09 had her run out by .019 to give Tull the victory. Sunday, Savannah was able to get the win over Braxton Hazzard with a 9.124 on a 9.00 dial. Hazzard with the better reaction time could not run his dial 10.28 by running a 10.417.

Congratulations to all the winners and we look forward to the 4th annual FRBR Coastal Clash this coming weekend, gates open 4/12/24 at 9 am. Saturday and Sunday, 4/13 and 4/14 gates open at 8 am.
