Fisher Body Shop Motorcycle Class Coming to Bunker Hill Dragstrip in 2024

Bunker Hill, IN (February 28, 2024) Fisher Body Shop, Benton Harbor, Michigan’s premier auto collision repair shop will be the title sponsor of the new IHRA Motorcycle class debuting at Bunker Hill Dragstrip this summer.
After a bit of a hiatus, the IHRA (International Hot Rod Association) brought back the popular motorcycle class in 2023. With the growing number of motorcycle racers frequenting the historic Bunker Hill Dragstrip, owners Terry and Cori McMillen decided to add the class to their Summit Super Series points program this year. The Summit Super Series gives motorcycle racers the opportunity to enter in points and race for a track championship. At the end of the season, the Bunker Hill track champion earns the right to compete against the best motorcycle racers in the country at the IHRA World Finals.
While the Fisher Body Shop Motorcycle Class is a box class, no box racers are always welcome to enter points and or race the class.
With this being the rookie season for the class at Bunker Hill Dragstrip, the Fisher Body Shop Motorcycle Class will be on a limited schedule. The class will kick off the season on June 8th, followed by a June 15th appearance at the Ironman Classic race, where the winner will receive the most prestigious trophy that IHRA hands out, an Ironman. The next race that the Fisher Body Shop Motorcycle class appears at will be the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular. At this event, racers have another opportunity to win an Ironman, and the winner will also earn a spot to compete at the IHRA World Finals. The next appearance for the class will come at the end of July on the 27th, followed by the last race of the season on August 24th. (This schedule has been updated from the original schedule posted online.)
The racer leading the points at the end of the night on August 24th, will be crowned the Fisher Body Shop Motorcycle track champion.
“We are excited to expand our motorcycle program,” explains track owner Terry McMillen. “The Fisher family has a long history of racing motorcycles, and to have Fisher Body Shop as the class sponsor, adds validity to this new class at our track. We are looking forward to an exciting season.”
