Grays Harbor Raceway
R.I.P. Bill St Paul
On Sunday, January 7 we lost a great racer and crew chief in the racing community. Bill St Paul was well known at Grays Harbor Raceway, whether he was racing his sprint car, crew chiefing for a sprint car, or just being an avid fan, you could find Bill at the racetrack. In the words of his driver's: " Bill St Paul was a fixture at Grays Harbor Raceway for more years than I know. I'll always be grateful that he gave me the opportunity to drive a sprint car. We'll miss you tons, Billy, and in the words, you said to me every night when I left the track with my family, "Be good.". Randy Van Aagten "Billy helped me build my first stock car in 1985 and was there for my first sprint car championship as well as my last one. Lots of fun was always had, win or lose, from Chico to Elma, 1000's of laps made. On my bad nights Billy would text me and say, "You really stunk it up last night." I'd say "Thanks for your honesty." If not for Billy, I never would've made it as a racer. He let me race his sprint car and that's how all the good times happened. Jay Cole "We were better for having him as part of our life. Some of the best times ever were spent with him." Glenn Borden Jr. Thanks for the good times, Bill. You will be missed.
