US 13 Dragway Racers
This announcement is to update racers on our vision moving forward in the 2024 racing season. Safety has been our top priority since taking over in 2022. First, we purchased a newer ambulance outfitted with the most up to date equipment possible. We’ve expanded our EMT Team to the largest it’s ever been. We built a fire suppression system in our track truck with a 165 gallon tank filled with Cold Fire solution, pump and new 50’ - 2” line. This week, we installed 15 gallon tanks in each track gator with Cold Fire Solution to get to areas faster.
This year we added two additional tech inspectors to our team. As your promoters, my wife and I wanted to publish this statement to make all racers aware of areas we feel need to be addressed.
With the implementation of the Advanced Tech Inspection program, it gives us more time to make sure all cars are safe to participate, racers have the proper safety equipment/apparel and to ensure the playing field is level for all our participants. When it comes to safety equipment, if your race car or motorcycle ET’s rules call for certain types of apparel and equipment, we will be policing in the lanes notifying drivers if we see safety equipment and apparel needed to compete.
This year, we will be conducting spot checks at 8 cars or less and some can be pulled into our maintenance building for a full inspection.
Our goal is that racers attending our events know we care about their safety and we will not tolerate any illegal equipment being used. If found with any type of illegal equipment, suspensions will be enforced to the maximum possible.
Racers, please understand our concerns as we consider all of you part of our family. Denise and I will continue to do our best to provide each and every one of you a place to enjoy this great sport we love so much and the safest environment possible.
